Service to Others

Local Opportunities for Service

“Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world...”

(Mt. 25:34)

Marisol Homes — For I was hungry and you gave me food.

Serves pregnant single mothers, and single mothers with children in Lakewood and Arvada. We are looking for parishioners who would be willing to serve a meal to these women as an individual, a parish, or a community group. Opportunities to serve are every day of the week except Friday evenings. We need 20-30 adult-sized servings at our main location in Lakewood. You may prepare the meal offsite and drop-off or prepare in the kitchen at the home. For more information, please contact Marisol Homes at 720-799-9406 or parishioner Rebecca Blondo at 303-582-3413.

Loaves & Fishes — I was thirsty and you gave me drink.

Father Tadeusz invites parishioners to volunteer at Loaves and Fishes on the 3rd and 4th Thursday of each month from 10:30am to 2:30pm. If you are interested in helping us this month, please call parishioner Dede Waldron at 303-567-0186, email dedeleen@gmail.com, or signup in the back of the church. Thank you for your generosity.

Catholic Jail/Prison Ministry — In prison and you visited me.

Catholic Jail & Prison Ministry for the Archdiocese of Denver provides spiritual support to inmates with a primary mission to bring the love and mercy of God to all we meet. Jails, prisons, and youth detention facilities have been served by Catholic priests, deacons, sisters, and laity of our area for more than 100 years. The ministry seeks additional volunteers who are at least 21 years of age, a practicing Catholic, and able to pass a background check. For more information contact Al Hooper at 303-715-3220.

Knights of Columbus

God's Country Council #17055

From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are Catholic men of faith and men of charitable action.

Through our Building the Domestic Church initiative, Knights and their families have greater opportunities to participate in a variety of activities that deepen their faith, promote the New Evangelization, and strengthen our parishes.

"We are answering Pope Francis’ call to go to the peripheries,” Supreme Knight Carl Anderson said. “We can reach half way around the globe to help those in need and we can reach to our neighbor next door. And we do that every day. That makes us witnesses to the faith."

If you’d like to be a part of an international organization of nearly 2 million Catholic men whose principal work involves helping others in need, we'd like to meet you and invite you to join us.
